FARM FRIENDS VISIT

On Wednesday the 23 rd our farm friends came to visit us at school. The first thing we did was an icebreaker. Mr. P had a hat with different coloured cubes. Everybody picked a cube and had to find the people with the same colour of cubes. Each group then had to find two things that they had in common with group. It was interesting to find out what we all had in common.After that we did our garden planning. We chose our seeds and then picked out what kinds of plants that we are going to plant. We also had tea & treats with our farm friends. |

Later we continued to plan our gardens.We all had to draw a map of how our gardens would look. Then it was time to do our play. It was called THE BIG THREE. It was about the three nutrients: Nitrogen, Phosphorus & Potassium. After that we did some “MORE” garden planning. Soon it was time for our farm friends to leave. The farm friend visit was a big success & all of Div. 7 is looking forward to our visit to the farm on January 31st. |
